Vegan Allium-Free Gochujang


Allium free gochujang

I love korean food but finding an allium free gochujang is really not easy! In Singapore, it practically cannot be found anywhere except Shopee which is mostly from Malaysia. It's usually not cheap too!


Hence, we decided to try making our own gochujang because why not?


Serving size: ~ 2 bottles

Ingredients:

Red Chilli Powder 150g

Salt 15g

Sugar 10g

Starch Syrup 75g

Water 21g


Procedures:

  1. Add sugar to water, melt it

  2. Add starch syrup and stir until steam rises till about 60 Degree Celsius

  3. Add salt

  4. Let the mixture cool down and then mix chilli flakes powder to it
