Vegan Kimchi Pancakes

Kimchi Pancake

We made our first attempt at kimchi pancakes today! If you would like to know the recipe of our kimchi pancake, do read on 😉

Firstly, we mixed diced cabbages, vegetarian kimchi (w/o onion and garlic), cake flour, vegetarian seasoning, water, a pinch of salt and yam (Details of the amount will be at the end of the post). Next, we heat up the pan, put some oil and fried both side of the mixture and finally we got the pancake below! For a better taste, do add some additional seasoning like mayonnaise and seaweed flakes 😬

Review of our own creation: It tasted AWESOME but perhaps could have added a little more seasoning and dice the kimchi into smaller pieces too :)

As promised, the ingredients required are as follows:

  1. Kimchi 泡菜 -- 60g

  2. Cake Flour 低筋麵粉 -- 50g

  3. Cabbage diced 高麗菜切碎 -- 70g

  4. Water 水-- 50ml

  5. Salt 鹽巴 -- abit 少許

  6. Vegetarian Seasoning 素G粉 -- 1/4 teaspoon /小匙

  7. Yam 山藥泥 -- half cup / 半杯 (optional)

  8. Mayonnaise 素美奶滋 -- depends on you

  9. Seaweed powder 海苔香鬆粉 -- abit 少許
